Introduction to Automotive Key Origination and Cutting

Join Aidan Coates, CRL for a full day of hands-on experience. This class is designed for absolute beginners looking to get into automotive locksmithing, but the methods used in the class can benefit anyone.

This class will cover:
-Lishi tool use
-Decoding Pin tumbler and automotive locks
-Car Key origination and cutting

By the end of the class, each student will have decoded a lock and have cut a working key that they could then provide to their hypothetical customer. Using the methods in the class, you could walk up to a variety of car models and have a working ignition key in minutes with no disassembly required.

The class includes a short introduction, video demonstration, and break for lunch, but otherwise is entirely hands-on.

This class will begin at 8am. We will break at 11:30 for lunch and the membership meeting and resume after the meeting until approximately 4pm.
